I've started a new project of setting up tutorials of software I come across. Soooo, I figured I'd start with VOX.
Vox is a free internet neighborhood that allows you to create your own personal internet site. Vox Mobile is a free S60 application that provides seamless integration between your Vox site and your Symbian device.
With Vox Mobile you are able to post any combination of pictures, video, sounds, and text from your mobile device directly to the site with one click. You can use a combination of all the supported types to create the perfect journal entry, announcement, or show a slide show of your sister's graduation.

I've spent some time with a couple of push email applications on my N75 and I'm not really satisfied with any of them. For the longest time I have used Nokia's free application MailforExchange v1.3, although the application is very easy to setup and doesn't use a lot system memory, it lacks in the features area.
RoadSync by DataViz is host to many more features, but lacks some of the basic core application features. Overall I love RoadSync and have kept using it since I purchased a license for $50.00, but here are some things that drive me nuts about RoadSync.
- No visual notification of new email: Unlike M4E or Emoze, there is no visual notification of new email with RS. When using M4E you get two different notifications. One is, "New Email" pops up as a screen dialog similar to a new text or voice mail. M4E also puts a "@" symbol as a system indicator at the top of the screen. RS has neither one, so if I miss the audible alert, I'm out of luck until I happen to check under messages.
- Lack of soft key "Shortcut". I have my left soft key set to "New Message", while using M4E I get an option of "New Message > MailforExchange", but there isn't a option under this menu for RS.
On the flip side, here are some things that I love about RoadSync and think should be included in M4E.
- Flag Email support: Not only can I view and set "important" levels on outgoing email, but I can also flag incoming email and set due dates and priority levels.
- Event Support: Using RS I am able to accept/deny/suggest/etc. on an incoming event invitations
- Search Email: If your exchange server is running Exchange2007 then RS supports mailbox search and multiple folder structures.
- Adjustable Font size: speaks for it's self
- SharePoint and UNC file access: Unbelievable!!

Nokia has posted a site that shows their love for the Mac community. If you find your S60 handset not supported by Mac OS X directly, Nokia is providing iSync plugins for Mac users.
Simply visit the Nokia iSync Software page, select your phone model and download the plugin. The plugins come with a simple installer. Run the installer and you should be good to go. You may need to run the Bluetooth setup assistant to re-pair your phone and make it available via iSync.

Handango has released their 1Q 2007 Yardstick Report, offering up the top 10 applications for Symbian. The list includes Profimail and Smartmovie as the most-popular applications. Another LonelyCatGames application, LCG Jukebox ranks in at number 7. Other notable entries are Papyrus (Mobile Calendar Application) and IM+.
